Dear Fellow ASHA Members:
As I write this season‘s message it is a glorious fall color season here in northern Michigan. The hay is in the barn and we are getting ready to put the fodder in the shock. The busy harvest season is winding down and it is time to look forward to starting to cut, split and stack the winter‘s firewood. Although Indian summer is upon us we know that the cold breath of winter is getting ready to find its way down our neck past all of the turned up col-lars and scarves we can get on. The horses winter coats will soon be grow-ing. Hope the season is kind to you.
I just learned today of the tragic death of Heinz and Ursina Naef‘s 16 year old daughter Annamay. This issue will not come out until long after this tragic event but I would ask all of you who have not yet done so to reach out to Heinz and his family to offer our support during this terrible time. An-namay was outgoing, vivacious and loved her part-Shire horse. I would urge all of you to take this opportunity to cherish those close to you and to let them know your feelings.
