Greetings to the membership! It seems that show season proved to be as busy as always and many are still planning their fall season shows. We had a great gathering of Shires and shire enthusiasts at our National Show in Des Moines. The halter numbers seemed to be up and not only was the quantity there, the quality was very good as well. Our judge, Mr. Jim Emmons, commented that it was the best group of mares he has seen in the Shire world for many years—great to hear from a feathered footed historian!! Unfortunately, equine health issues stopped some of our exhibitors from showing horses and with the dispersal of the Dakota Thunder Shires our gelding numbers were down, BUT we were very happy to see Shires For Hire returning to the show. Overall the National Show was a great success!
Our progression with DigitalHorses and the office staff is moving in great strides. We are excited to have a fully staffed office working 5 days a week.
