Message from your President,
I am both humbled and honored to have been elected as President of the American Shire Horse Association. It is also gratifying to be working with a Board of Directors that has energy and a passion for the Shire horse, and I’d like to thank them for their confidence in voting me to this position. I would also like to thank Clark Jenson for serving as President for the past few years and his dedication to our association, and look forward to working with him as he serves on the board.
My background with Shires began as a child, but I didn’t start showing with my father till I got married in my early 20’s. My family breeds and exhibits halter horses and hitch horses across the Midwest, Western States, and Canada. We strive to promote and educate the public on the Shire horse as well as its history and progression to modern day draft horses.
